Chandler Fashion Center Mall Overview
Both visitors and local residents alike will enjoy shopping at the Chandler Fashion Center. It's got a great mix of retail stores and restaurants, plus a Harkins stadium theater. It's more than attractive in appearance; it feels gracious and elegant...made with obviously high-quality materials which emphasize the mall's architectural grace and attention to details. Natural lighting filters through the mall's many skylights, allowing visitors to enjoy Arizona's lovely sunny days...without a hint of the heat or chill outside.
(Though the Chandler Mall only opened in October 2001, relatively recent for a shopping mall, it's old enough to be one of the traditional climate-controlled malls that's so comfortable inside on one of Arizona's many too-hot summer days or too-cool winter evenings. Open-air malls have become the rage since then, of course...and in fact, outdoor malls the only type of shopping centers being built recently because of the energy crunch. Although outdoor malls are cute, they can't match the creature comforts of shopping inside the Chandler Fashion Center's climate-controlled interior.)
And yet, Chandler Fashion Center certainly can't be called "behind the times." Not only is the mall's interior stunningly beautiful, the mall has also added a lovely open-air section, as well. When you're outside by the mall's Harkins Theaters, you may take in a movie on a lovely afternoon or evening and then go for a stroll, look at shops, and grab a meal or a snack enjoying both the weather and the patio-like decor. In addition, the Chandler Mall is easy to find, even for first-time visitors to the Valley of the Sun. Located conveniently at the junction of the east Loop 101 freeway and the south Loop 202 Freeway, it's easy to reach this exciting shopping mall without having to make one's way along city streets.
