Also, if you suspect that the park might be closed due to bad weather, you may call Cliff's ahead of your visit at phone number (505) 881-7807.

But there's some very GOOD news for Cliff's fans in 2012! The park is only closed ONE day each week (instead of 2 or more) AND Cliff's hours on weekdays are longer than ever before! Below are the Cliff's Amusement Park dates & hours for the 2012 operating season.

Cliff's Amusement Park Tickets and Discounts

Picture: Cliff's Amusement Park's Falling Star ride; Albuquerque, New Mexico Full price tickets to Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque cost less than similar attractions in larger cities. This is one of the nicest things about adding a stop at Cliff's to your family vacation. Another good thing is that, unlike larger theme parks, parking at Cliff's is free!

In addition, family members who don't intend to go on rides don't have to pay full price. Unlike most big-city theme parks where parents have to buy expensive tickets just to bring their children inside to enjoy some kiddie rides, Cliff's has an inexpensive "general admission" ticket meant exactly for this purpose.

1.) General Admission to Cliff's Amusement Park (called the Walk Around Pass) costs only $4.95. This price does not include rides...but individual ride tickets are available inside the park if you'd like to go on the New Mexico Rattler (or any other park attraction.)

Children age 3 and under do not need to purchase the Walk Around Pass in order to enter Cliff's Park. Unless they purchase ride tickets or an all-day ride pass, their admission to enter & walk around the grounds is free.

Picture: Water play area at Cliff's Amusement Park, named the Water Monkeys Adventure 2.) Cliff's WaterMania!: There is a fun, upgraded water playground at Cliff's opening in late May, 2012. Kids can enjoy torrents of water being showered down upon them from the play structure. Or, they can squirt each other. Or, they can ride down slides, climb up & down in the structure, play with water toys, or simply stand in the cooling wading area to get refreshed. The cost for entering the Water Mania attraction is $14.95 if that's the only attraction you plan to visit. Or, Water Mania comes included free for those who have purchased all-day "combo" ride passes!

3.) All-day ride passes: If you'd like to spend a day of fun on the rides at Cliff's, getting either an All-Day Pass or an All Day Combo Pass will save you money over purchasing rides with individual tickets. Pass prices fall into 2 categories: WITH water park privileges...and WITHOUT the water park included.

You will pay the following prices for Cliff's all-day passes at the park's ticket booths:

Cliff's all-day ride pass: $24.95
All-day ride pass with water park included: $29.95

Cliff's Ticket Discounts and Savings

It's relatively easy to get discounts to Cliff's Amusement Park. Most visitors will be eligible for one type of discount or another.

1.) Print at home ticket discount: Simply by thinking ahead, you can save money on Cliff's all-day ride passes. You will save $3 on each pass by purchasing your passes online & then printing your tickets at home. This $3-per-ticket discount is good whether your purchase the Water Mania option or not.

With the $3 discount, that means the Ride + Water Mania passes cost only $26.95 (instead of $29.95 at the gate.) Or, a ride-only pass will cost just $21.95 (instead of $24.95 at the gate.) Here is a link to the Cliff's Amusement Park ticketing page if you want to order tickets or check to see if there have been any price increases. Note: Our site is not related to Cliff's in any way (other than to recommend them,) so if you have any problems getting the tickets, you'll need to contact Cliff's directly.

2.) Costco discount tickets for Cliff's Amusement Park: This year, Cliff's is selling discount tickets on the Costco.com website (as well as in selected Costco stores.) If you'd like to check out this special, here's a link to the Cliff's discount ticket page of the Costco.com website. (Note: when the Cliff's special is over, this page will be blank. It isn't known exactly when the Cliff's deal will be over, but it will probably be most of the summer. If you're interested, you can always purchase your discount tickets now & then use them later.)

3.) Merchant and community discounts: In past years, there have been soda can discounts available for Cliff's Amusement Park. And, last year, there were also discounts available from the New Mexico Rail Runner train, and from KOAT-TV/100.3 The Peak/and Lite 95.1 radio. However, at the time of this update, it's too soon to say if those discounts will be offered again in 2012.

4.) Cliff's season passes! One of the cheapest ways that frequent visitors can save money at Cliff's Amusement Park is to purchase a season pass. After your one-time expense, then the more you visit Cliff's, the more money you save! In 2012, a terrific Early Bird discount on Cliff's season passes is available...but only IF you purchase your pass BEFORE Cliff's opens for the year. Normally, Cliff's season passes cost $89.95...which is already a good deal if you visit Cliff's frequently. But through April 6, 2012...the day before Cliff's opens for the season...you may purchase your pass for the extra-good price of $59.95. That's a big $30-off for each pass!

5.) Group discounts and birthday party discounts: If you have 15 or more people coming to visit the park together...with or without a birthday that you're celebrating...you may purchase your all-day ride pass tickets for $19.95 each at the Cliff's ticket booths. (You may add Water Mania privileges, if you wish; the cost would be $24.95 if you do.)

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT CLIFF'S AMUSEMENT PARK: In addition to getting a group discount (if you have 15 or more people in your party,) there is also a Birthday Pavilion at the park. Your family may use the Birthday Pavilion free-of-charge for eating your birthday cake, opening your presents, etc. However, there's a big drawback: you can't make reservations for the Birthday Pavilion. It's available first-come/first-served only. There are other rules for using the Cliff's birthday pavilion, so you should read through them before arriving...and call Cliff's if you have any questions.

6.) School group discounts: Schools will pay either $16 or $17 per student (depending on the time of year the group plans to visit Cliff's.) Adult chaperones may get a Walk Around Pass for free. There are some limitations on these special tickets, however. You must have 15 or more students in the group; and you must email the park to reserve your tickets in advance of your arrival; and you must all arrive at the park & pay as a group on the date of your reservation.

7.) Never leave home without checking Cliff's own Special Deals page.: Why? Because you might discover a limited-time discount that will be good on the date you plan to visit the park! For example, last year there was a Mother's Day Buy-on-get-one-free discount. On Mother's Day, Moms got a FREE all-day ride pass with the purchase of a 2nd all-day pass by another family member! Then, Cliff's Park ran the same BOGO special again on Father's Day, too!

Also, last August, there was a buy-one-get-one-free discount at Cliff's for educators! If you were a principal, professor, teacher, or TA, then when you purchased an all-day pass for yourself, you got another one FREE for a family member or friend. At the time of this update, it's too soon to tell if the Teacher's Discount will be offered again in 2012...but it was highly successful last year, so the plan might be repeated.

8.) Employer & Credit Union discounts: Do you work for a company...or use a credit union...that has Cliff's discount tickets? If your boss or credit union hasn't signed up with Cliff's, urge them to do so. With the discount your employer or credit union could give you, you could get an all-day ride pass for only $19.95! These tickets are good on any day of Cliff's operating season, and you do NOT have to attend the park with other employees. (However, Cliff's DOES have a company picnic program, too. If your bosses don't know about it, you can urge 'em to sign up for that program, too!) There is a 50-ticket sales commitment, however, for your employer or credit union to join.

9.) Fund Raising tickets for Cliff's: Schools and other organizations can help their members get cheap admission tickets to Cliffs...AND raise money at the same time! Members of the organization get to purchase Cliff's tickets for only $20 each...PLUS the organization gets to keep $5 for each ticket sold. It's a win-win situation for everybody! There's a restriction on these special discount tickets, however: they're limited to weekends in April and May, and your organization MUST pick a date during that time period when those tickets will be valid. So, people purchasing the tickets may not use them on any day they want to visit (like the employer discount tickets mentioned above.) All fund raising tickets must be used on the one day that has been selected by the organization as "Cliff's Day" for the group. Despite the restrictions, it's an excellent way to have fun at a terrific discount price...while benefiting a worthy cause.

10.) Also, don't forget to check the Cliff's Amusement Park page on Facebook...because you might find surprises (like a fun contest!) What could you win? That all depends on the contest. Tickets are occasionally given away, but sometimes it's a different type of prize. For example, last year somebody won a cute Boo Boo Bear stuffed animal in a Cliff's Facebook contest!
