Cliff's Amusement Park Tickets and Discounts
Full price tickets to Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque cost less than similar attractions in larger cities. This is one of the nicest things about adding a stop at Cliff's to your family vacation. Another good thing is that, unlike larger theme parks, parking at Cliff's is free!
In addition, family members who don't intend to go on rides don't have to pay full price. Unlike most big-city theme parks where parents have to buy expensive all-day ride passes just to bring their children inside to enjoy some kiddie rides, Cliff's has inexpensive "spectator passes" meant exactly for this purpose.
A Spectator Pass to Cliff's Amusement Park (formerly called the Walk Around Pass or the General Admission ticket) now costs $9.99. In addition to front-gate admission, the Spectator Admission pass includes Water Mania, the park's water play area. Water Mania is open beginning Memorial Day weekend in May all the way through Labor Day in September (if the weather permits it.)
The Spectator Pass price does not include any rides---however, individual ride tickets are available inside the park if you decide that you'd like to go on the New Mexico Rattler (or any other park attraction.)
Cliff's Ticket Discounts and Savings
It's relatively easy to get discounts to Cliff's Amusement Park. Most visitors will be eligible for one type of discount or another.
1.) Print at home ticket discount: Simply by thinking ahead, you can save money on Cliff's all-day ride passes. You will save several dollars on each ticket compared to the prices charged at Cliff's ticket booths, so it's worth the effort to plan ahead. Here is a link to the Cliff's Amusement Park ticketing page if you want to order tickets or check current prices. Note: Our site is not related to Cliff's in any way (other than to recommend them,) so if you have any problems getting the tickets, you'll need to contact Cliff's directly.
2.) Cliff's season passes! One of the cheapest ways that frequent visitors can save money at Cliff's Amusement Park is to purchase a season pass. After your one-time expense, then the more you visit Cliff's, the more money you save! For 2018, season passses cost $79.99 online at Cliff's website, or $79.99 at the gate. A new "Platinum" season pass is available for 2018. This includes all day rides, WaterMania admission PLUS one "Meal Deal" per visit! The cost for this deluxe pass is $99.99.
A "Parent Pass" is available again this year, but the price has jumped quite a bit. It now costs $53.99 online, and includes general admission to Cliff's, admission to the special WaterMania section of the park, PLUS a "companion pass" for accompanying your children on the Kiddyland rides which are roomy enough to accommodate adults. Because of the price increase and because you may NOT ride any of the park's major coasters & thrill rides, you may want to consider buying the park's $79.99 basic season pass.
You may get more info and purchase season passes on the Season Pass page of Cliff's website.
3.) Cliff's own News, Deals and Discounts page: Never leave home without checking to see if Cliff's has any special, limited-time offers going on. In April, there's always a good special of some kind to kick off the park's operating season.
Then, each May, there is usually a Mother's Day BOGO (Buy-one-get-one-free) discount. And every year for the Memorial Day weekend, there's the annual Heroes celebration---with FREE all-day ride passes given to police, fire, veterans and current members of the military. In 2018, Heroes Weekend will run for all 3 days of the Memorial Day weekend---Saturday, Sunday and Monday (May 26th, 27th and 28th. Simply bring the appropriate ID to the Cliff's ticket windows. Family members do not get in free, unfortunately. NEW---In 2018, Heroes Weekend tickets were finally able to be purchased online. (ID to be checked at the gate.) The link to these special tickets no longer works, but if online tickets are offered again next year, we will put up the new 2019 link at that time.
In June, you can be watching for Cliff's annual Father's Day BOGO special---two tickets for the price of one on Saturday, June 16th and Father's Day Sunday, June 17th. Sorry, only Dad gets a free ticket, so you can't leave him home & still receive the buy-one-get-one-free discount.
In July, There was an Independence Day special that was good only on July 4th. The price for an all-day ride pass was a patriotic $17.76! If you were busy elsewhere on the holiday, don't worry---there are still more specials at Cliff's during July. Fridays are Family Fun Nights. Unlimited Ride passes on Friday evenings from 5 pm until closing time cost only $12.99. If you're interested in daytime fun, you'll enjoy "$20.99 Weekdays." Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, all day ride passes cost $20.99, a savings of $8 per ticket. (available online only.) For more details about these discounts, please see the July Promotions page of Cliff's official website.
In August, both of the Friday Night and the Weekday Savings specials (mentioned above) will continue.
Summer vacation time always brings a LOT of discounts! We've already mentioned quite a few of them, but it's still unclear whether more will be added. There can never be too many discounts!
4.) Cliff's Military Discounts: Does Cliff's Amusement Park offer a military discount? Yes...and no. You may NOT get a military discount at the park's ticket booths or online. But YES, if you think ahead and purchase special tickets at the Kirtland Base Ticket Sales Office, you can get a very good discount on the park's "Splash and Ride" all-day tickets.
5.) Merchant and community discounts: Albertson's supermarkets usually sell all day "Splash and Ride" tickets at a discounted price. You may visit your local Albertson's service desk to check for current offers and purchase them, if available. There are a number of Albertson's locations around the city, but if you're coming from out-of-town, you'll be glad to know that there's an Albertson's grocery store not too far from Cliff's. The Albertson's address is 4950 Montgomery North East,
Albuquerque, NM 87109; phone number, (505) 883-8706. If you don't have print-at-home tickets, this is a good option.
In past years, there have also been discounts available from KOAT-TV/100.3 The Peak/and Lite 95.1 radio. However, at the time of this update, it's too soon to say exactly what discounts will be coming up for later this year.
6.) BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT CLIFF'S AMUSEMENT PARK: Cliff's has a new Group Pavilion at the park....now called the Creamland Birthday Pavilion. There are new rules to follow...and one of the biggest changes is that you must make reservations ahead of time for your birthday party. (In past years, it was "first come, first served." So, you never knew if you were going to get to use the pavilion...or if someone else would beat you to it.) Birthday parties must follow the usual "youth groups" guidlines, which mean that you must have a minimum of 10 paying guests to get the discount, and that you must fill in the park's online reservation form in advance of your visit. Here's a link to the birthday party/youth group information page of Cliff's website for your convenience.
7.) Youth Group discounts: Youth groups will get a good discount on each ticket. There are some limitations on these special tickets, however. You must have 10 or more kids in the group; and you must email the park to reserve your date and meal time in advance of your arrival; and you must all arrive at the park & pay as a group on the date of your reservation. Here's a link to the youth group information page of Cliff's website where you can get more details.
8.) Costco discount tickets for Cliff's Amusement Park: OCCASIONALLY Cliff's sells discount tickets on the Costco.com website (as well as in selected Costco stores.) If you'd like to check out this special, here's a link to the theme park discount tickets page of the Costco.com website. (Note: when the Cliff's special isn't being sold, then it won't be listed here. It isn't known exactly when the Cliff's deal will come and go, but when it's available, you'll find it at this link. If you're interested, you can always purchase your discount tickets when they're available & then use them later.)
9.) Employer & Credit Union discounts: Do you work for a company...or use a credit union...that has Cliff's discount tickets? If your boss or credit union hasn't signed up with Cliff's, urge them to do so. With the discount your employer or credit union could give you, you could get an all-day ride pass for $20 or less! Some employers and credit unions sell actual tickets. Others choose to offer discount coupons that you may use at the park. Still others have a special day where everyone in the company shows up at Cliff's and has a good time together. Considering that there are 3 ways for employers to offer theme park savings, you just might be able to get in on one of these discounts.
10.) Fund Raising tickets for Cliff's: Schools and other organizations can help their members get cheap admission tickets to Cliffs...AND raise money at the same time! Members of the organization get to purchase Cliff's tickets for less than the price at Cliff's ticket booths...PLUS the organization gets to keep about $5 for each ticket sold. It's a win-win situation for everybody! There's a restriction on these special discount tickets, however: they're limited to weekends in April and May, and your organization MUST pick a date during that time period when those tickets will be valid. So, people purchasing the tickets may not use them on any day they want to visit (unlike the employer discount tickets mentioned above.) All fund raising tickets must be used on the one day that has been selected by the organization as "Cliff's Day" for the group. Despite the restrictions, it's an excellent way to have fun at a terrific discount price...while benefiting a worthy cause.
11.) Also, don't forget to check the Cliff's Amusement Park page on Facebook...because you might find surprises (like a fun contest!) What could you win? That all depends on the contest. Tickets are occasionally given away, but sometimes it's a different type of prize. For example, last year somebody won a cute Boo Boo Bear stuffed animal in a Cliff's Facebook contest!
