Beautiful weather was upon us in the Valley of the Sun, and there were quite a few months ahead when families could get to know their new mall and enjoy its open-air ambiance. The San Tan Village Mall was meant to be strolled-through and admired, with interesting decorative features and landscaping touches. Now that summer's upon us, enjoying Arizona's largest open-air center will be more challenging. However, this new mall has seen good attendance throughout the good-weather season; it has undoubtedly gained a following who will prove to be more than "fair weather friends!" Layout of the San Tan Village outdoor mall: The planners at San Tan Village have done a good job of grouping stores into logical mini-villages of similar stores. Many of the stores desired by a particular age & interest group are clustered! We'll talk about some of the store groupings in the sections below on this page. Dillard's Department Store at San Tan VillageCurrently, the one major department store at the San Tan Village mall is the popular Dillard's. You'll find clothing and accessories departments for every member of the family, as well as both functional and decorative items for your home. Most stores of interest to kids are located near Dillards Department store. And, a very nice mix of stores for children is being offered at the new San Tan Village Mall, indeed! You'll be able to find fashions for every age child, from babies, to toddlers & preschoolers, to tweens. In addition, several stores slanted towards the interests of little girls will provide them with entertainment which will totally captivate them...San Tan mall's location of the hugely popular Build A Bear Workshop chain, and a trendy clothing & "makeover" salon called The Glitter Box. (The Glitter Box is a locally-owned "girl's glamor" destination similar to the nationally famous Club Libby Lu chain.) In addition, a location of the terrific "kids' favorite," The Disney Store, is on its way into the mall, as well.Here are this new Gilbert mall's children's stores. A number of favorite teen stores are found between Dillard's Department Store and the Harkins Theaters. There are 3 "blocks" of stores between Dillards and the Harkins Cinemas. As mentioned in the section above, children's stores fill many spots in the block directly next to Dillard's. Teen stores fill up the 2 blocks next to Harkins.You'll find some of the stores for teens which are popular both here in Arizona AND throughout the rest of the USA. In addition to popular clothing stores for guys and girls, several popular accessories stores line the streets, as well. The handy and comfortable Harkins Theaters have already been open at the San Tan Village Mall for a number of months. In fact, patrons of this popular cinema watched the mall being built from "the ground up!"
The Harkins Theater features stadium-style seating in all of its many auditoriums. Digital sound and a nice mix of newly-released movies are other great features of this Harkins Theater location.
